Halloween Tricks and Treats

Can you believe it’s almost Halloween? And while we wait for the holiday to arrive, the stores have been stacking their shelves with Christmas decor. Don’t you wish it would all just slow down a little bit?  Well since we can’t stop time from flying forward, we might as well enjoy it. This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, so as long as the weather cooperates, the kids can get outside and have fun the whole day, as long as they aren’t ringing the neighbors doorbells all day of course.  There are lots of simple games and activities that the whole family can enjoy to make the day special, and if you have a few friends in the neighborhood you can even make it a bit of a block party.

There are loads of games you can play that don’t involve a lot of time or money, but that can pack a lot of fun in them. For example, you can have mummy relay races with kids racing to wrap each other in toilet paper. Can have donut eating contests, seeing who can eat a donut hanging from a string the fastest. You can also make lots of little spooky goodies - like chocolate monsters and orange cupcakes. You can find a lot of great ideas with a quick search on the web.
