Making Healthier Food Choices
We have a few people in the office who come in every day with a huge cup of soda picked up on their way to work at a local fast food stop. I always cringe inside wondering what that is doing to their poor bodies, starting their day off like that. I can’t imagine myself functioning well if I started my day that way, plus I think I would feel slightly ill. Maybe their bodies get used to it? I don’t know. I have bad habits of my own, mostly in the form of too many cups of coffee in a day and grabbing too many simple carbs. So like many people I am working on a few diet changes for the new year. I always try to do a few resolutions, and generally one or two actually stick and become a new habit for me. I am currently working on keeping my coffee drinking down to two cups a day, which is working out pretty well if I drink more decaf. The carbs are a little harder to cut back on since I’m such a nibbler, especially when I’m working at my desk.
